  The catalyst for forming the Kool Kidz Foundation, Inc. was when a group of dedicated physical and occupational therapists noticed a huge gap in facilities and services available for the children in their community who fell outside the norm of their able-bodied peers. This gap included a lack of summer programs, competitive sports programs and recreational activities for children with physical, social, cognitive and emotional challenges. The Kool Kidz Foundation was formed to not only provide parallel programs for children who were not eligible for existing services, but also to create an environment where all children could learn and play together without limitations.
